CSA

My Local Markets is please to work with regional farmers to support their CSA's. If you have purchased farm fresh veggies in the past they have come from one of our local farming partners. This year we will continue to offer fresh crops for delivery weekly, but if you loved what you saw, you can pre-commit to a weekly CSA Box to ensure your fill of fresh produce each week from May to October

Q: What does CSA mean?

A: CSA stands for Community Supported Agriculture, which is a farming model in which local consumers purchase local food directly from the hands who pulled it out of the ground!

By investing in a local farm each year, members help ensure the ongoing presence of farms in their community and become connected with their food and the people who grow it.

This week our feature farm is Fair Sun Farm

About Fair Sun Farm

Fair Sun Farm is owned and operated by Marnie Chown, Patrick van der burg and their little helper Damian. You can find their small-scale certified organic vegetable farm in Spencerville, Ontario. Where they grow delicious and nutritious vegetables for families in our Ottawa area community. Take comfort in knowing that not only do they grow their vegetables in compliance with the Canadian Organic Standards, but they are also concerned with the health of the soil and natural ecosystems. They work with nature instead of against it
