A good British stout for the fish and malt vinegar for the chips.
In 1962, artist Fred Ayres was hired by the County of Haliburton to hand paint this mural in the lobby of the Land Registry Office located in Minden, Ontario. While it’s clear that Fred’s vision of a ‘fisherman’s paradise’ is justified, it’s worth mentioning that for each lake shown there are an equal number of smaller lakes that aren’t. And that, in a nutshell, is what defines us as Haliburton County: we’re more than meets the eye.
A portion of sales from each puzzle will be donated to the Artist In The Schools project.
Reproduced in vivid wide-gamut colour, and mounted on genuine Eska board.
MADE IN HALIBURTON, ONTARIO!
